Because of past overcrowding issues and in light of recent events all over the country the Poplar Bluff Police Department and the Poplar Bluff High School have decided for the safety of our students and the public, admittance into the Black River Coliseum for graduation will be limited to the number of seats available.  We will issue 8 tickets per graduate. Extra tickets will be distributed to graduating students through a lottery system if they choose to enter.

Coliseum seating available at Graduation - 3300. This is less than the 5000 for other events because the seats on the ends and the floor can not be utilized in the same manner. The graduates and HS Staff use the floor space.

Tickets will be divided equally for every graduate to receive 8 tickets. The remaining tickets will then be put into the lottery pool. Lottery Details:

  • There is no charge to enter the lottery 
  • All graduates are allowed to enter the lottery 
  • Entry will be through a Google Form
  • Each name drawn will receive 2 tickets
  • Those drawn will be removed from that round
  • We will continue drawing until all the remaining tickets are distributed

In the event there are remaining tickets - those needing more than 2 additional will be put back in for the 2nd round of drawings. The drawing process will continue until all tickets are distributed.

Timeline:

May 7th-11th Seniors will pick up Tickets

7th-14th Lottery Open - Closes 3pm 5/14

14th  @ 3:30 Lottery Drawing

17th - Hand out lottery tickets.
