SENIOR BULLETIN

2018

This bulletin is issued to give you advance notice concerning closing of the year activities in which you will be involved.  Please, read it carefully and refer to it so there will be no misunderstanding concerning these activities. Below is the schedule of activities for April 9–May 26.  All seniors will be expected to participate in these activities unless prior arrangements are made through the Principal.

If you have any questions concerning your Jostens bill or ordering the cap and gown you can contact their Office at (573) 546-7366 or e-mail [email protected] or check the out website at www.graduationproducts.net.

REMINDER:  Seniors should check in the Principal’s Office concerning their senior bill, and in the Library concerning library fees.  All fees should be paid by May 17, 2018.

GRADUATION TICKETS each graduate will receive 8 tickets. Tickets may be picked up May 7th – 11th in the front office from Mrs. Cox.    Those graduates needing extra tickets may enter the lottery drawing to receive more tickets.  Graduates may enter their name in the lottery drawing from May 7th – 14th  by completing a google form or early release seniors may call the front office.

PROJECT GRADUATION TICKETS will be available for purchase during B, C, & D lunch Monday April 9 -Friday April 13th.  Students that do not have B, C, or D lunch may purchase a ticket in room 613. Any early release Senior may check in at the front office first and then purchase a ticket in room 613.  Tickets are $5.00 per person and must be purchased in advance.  After April 13th all Seniors must see Mrs. J. Miller in room 613 to purchase tickets.

SENIOR BANQUET TICKETS will be available for purchase during B, C, & D lunch Monday April 9 - Friday April 13th.  Students that do not have B, C, or D lunch may purchase a ticket in room 613. Any early release Senior may check in at the front office first and then purchase a ticket in room 613.  Tickets are $15.00 per person and must be purchased in advance.   After April 13th all seniors must see Mrs. J. Miller in room 613 to purchase tickets. Tickets will be on sale until May 10th.

PROM TICKETS FOR SENIORS are on sale from Monday, March 19th - Wednesday, April 11th. Tickets can still be purchased during all lunch shifts, and in room 312 (Dohm) during advisory or before/after school.  Tickets are $20 for PBHS Seniors (including early graduates) and $25 for an underclassman or guest!

SATURDAY, APRIL 21:

Prom at the Black River Coliseum.  Doors open at 6:00 p.m. with Grand March starting at 7:00 p.m.  

MONDAY, MAY 7

1. Graduates can pick up their 8 tickets for commencement, in the office from Mrs. Cox 2. Graduates can enter name in commencement ticket lottery.

TUESDAY, MAY 8

FRIDAY, MAY 11

  1. Last day for graduates to pick up their 8 tickets for commencement, in the office from Mrs. Cox.
  2. Graduates can enter name in commencement ticket lottery.

MONDAY, MAY 14

  1. Last day for graduates to enter their name in the commencement ticket lottery.

TUESDAY, MAY 15:

  1. Senior final exams in 3rd & 8th periods.

  2. All books issued to Seniors in these periods should be collected.

WEDNESDAY, MAY 16:

  1. Senior final exams in 2nd, 5th, 7th periods.

  2. All books issued to Seniors in these periods should be collected.

THURSDAY, MAY 17:

  1. Senior final exams in 1st and 6th periods.  (All exams for seniors should be completed by 3:00 p.m. Today).

  2. All books issued to seniors in these periods should be collected.

  3. MacBooks and accessories will be collected in the Student Center during 7th and 8th periods.  All seniors should report to the auxiliary gym at the beginning of 7th period.

  4. Last day for seniors who have met all graduation requirements.

  5. Senior Banquet at Holiday Inn.  Doors will open at 6:30 p.m., with dinner served at 7:00 p.m.

FRIDAY, MAY 18 – WEDNESDAY, MAY 23:

  1. NO SCHOOL FOR SENIORS

THURSDAY, MAY 24:

  1. Commencement (Graduation) practice will be held at 9:00 a.m. at the Black RiverColiseum.  All seniors planning to attend graduation MUST attend this practice.   Seniors should bring their cap & gown with them to practice.

  2. Commencement (Graduation) will be held at 7:00 p.m. at the Black River Coliseum.  Tickets will be required for graduate’s guests entry into the Coliseum.   Seniors will be transported by bus from the Senior High parking lot. You should park in the student parking lot.  Pick-up will be by the Gym, everyone must be in the gym at 5:45 p.m.  The buses to the coliseum will leave at 6:30 p.m.  MAKE PLANS TO BE ON TIME.  The buses will return you to the Senior High after the graduation ceremonies.

NOTE:  The requirements for dress at commencement. Senior Males are to wear dress pants, a dress shirt and dress shoes; Senior Females are to wear a nice dress or pantsuit and dress shoes (no flip flops).   Makeup, hair and/or accessories must not be disruptive to the Commencement Program. Limited decorating of Graduation Caps only. Gown should not be altered in any way.

The female students are not required to wear the small white collar that comes with the gown.

FRIDAY, MAY 25:

  1. ONLY THE DIPLOMA COVER WILL BE RECEIVED AT COMMENCEMENT.  ACTUAL DIPLOMA MAY BE PICKED UP AT THE SENIOR HIGH PRINCIPAL’S OFFICE ON FRIDAY,  MAY 25th  FROM 8:30 A.M.– 2:30 P.M.  (All fines and fees must be paid before you can pick up diploma)

GENERAL INFORMATION:

  1. FINAL TRANSCRIPTS – Let Mrs. Bourd in the Office know if you need a final transcript sent to a college.  Even if a partial transcript has been sent to the college you plan to attend, you would need a final official transcript sent after graduation.  Transcripts are $3.00 each and must be paid for when you request it.  Final transcripts will be mailed during the week of June 4th.

  2. NHS MEMBERS: The NHS collar you will wear during commencement must be returned to Mrs. Cox in the Principal’s office when you pick up your diploma.
