Chromebook Deployment POPLAR BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL - AUGUST 9/10TH

IMPORTANT INFORMATION

All High School students in the Poplar Bluff School District will receive an HP Chromebook 11 G5 for use during the school year. Each student and at least one parent/guardian will need to attend one of the deployment sessions at POPLAR BLUFF HIGH SCHOOL, 3209 OAK GROVE ROAD.

To minimize crowds and long waits, suggested times for students and parents/guardians to attend the deployment session are listed below. If these times are not convenient, however, you may come to any other open session. Additionally, if you have more than one student, they may attend deployment at the same time.

Pre-registration on One2One Risk is NOT required this year. We have changed our deployment process to reduce the amount of time it takes for our parents, guardians, and students. This year we will collect an insurance fee of $20 per student ($40 maximum per family) as cash or check payments only. We will not be able to process credit or debit cards this year. We anticipate this process saving you a considerable amount time in line.

Any student unable to attend the scheduled deployment dates may come to the Help Desk the week after deployment to pick up their Chromebook. Please contact the High School office at 573-785-6471 to make sure a Help Desk staff member is available to assist you before you come.

IMPORTANT NOTES:

  • ALL students must attend a deployment session with a parent or guardian.
  • All returning students must bring their school-issued backpack to deployment to receive their laptop. Laptops will not be issued without the school-issued backpack. Incoming 9th grade students will be issued a backpack at deployment.
  • All students must pay a $20 Insurance Fee with a $40 maximum per family. Parents/guardians will not be required to pre-register. The deployment process has been streamlined and will move much more quickly this year.
  • Due to streamlining our deployment process, we are only able to accept cash and check payments - credit and debit cards can not be accepted.

Preferred Dates/Times

These are preferred times, if these times are not convenient, you may come any time during the deployment dates. If you have multiple children, they may all attend at the same time. Deployment sessions will be from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

11/12th Grade Students - Thursday, August 9th

  • 10:00-11:00 a.m. -- Last name begins with A-C
  • 11:00-12:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with D-F
  • 12:00-1:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with G-I
  • 1:00-2:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with J-L
  • 2:00-3:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with M-O
  • 3:00-4:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with P-R
  • 4:00-5:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with S-V
  • 5:00-6:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with W-Z

9/10th Grade Students - Friday, August 10th

  • 10:00-11:00 a.m. -- Last name begins with A-C
  • 11:00-12:00 p.m. -- Last name begins with D-F
