STUDENT ANNOUNCEMENTS: Week of April 24th-29th, 2017

  • Jostens will be here on Wednesday, April 26 during all lunch shifts (11:00 a.m. - 1:15 p.m.) for delivery of cap/gowns & graduation products that were not picked up on March 29th.  Balance MUST be paid in full to pick up your order.  See Mrs. Cox in the Office if you need the balance of what you owe.

  • Risky Business for Seniors will be Thursday, April 27th in the gym.  Students are to report to 1st hour classes for attendance and then go directly to the gym.

  • Senior Bulletin: Information SENIORS need to review for end of year activities and graduation has been placed on Schoology for Class of 2017, it was messaged to all senior parents connected to Schoology, and it has been added to Facebook on the PBHS Class of 2017 page, and shared on the Poplar Bluff High School page.   • Senior Banquet Tickets can be purchased in room 613.   Any early release Senior may check in at the front office first and then purchase a ticket in room 613.  Tickets are $15.00 per person and must be purchased in advance deadline for purchasing is May 12th.

  • Project Graduation Tickets can be purchased in room 613.  Any early release Senior may check in at the front office first and then purchase a ticket in room 613.  Tickets are $5.00 per person and must be purchased in advance. .

  • Applications for 2017-2018 Student Council Representatives are available starting April 24th and are due Friday, April 28th.  See Mr. Davis or Mrs. Conover if you have any questions.

  • Applications for 2017-2018 Freshman Ambassadors will be available on April 24th and due on Friday, April 28th.  Students must currently be a sophomore or junior to serve as an ambassador.  There is a mandatory training day prior to orientation.  Dates will be provided with the application.  See Mrs. Conover if you have any questions.

  • Attention Juniors: You must have the MCV vaccine before your Senior year.  The shot clinic is May 18th, and packets are in the nurse’s office.

  • Attention, Charlie Classics Readers!  The Charlie Classics reading year ends Sunday, April 30, 2017. Reading receipts may be redeemed for gift cards through Friday, May 5, 2017.  Students participating in the Charlie Classics Reading Challenge should present their reading receipts to Mrs. R. Stratton in Room 513 (Ms. Roby's room) by 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 1. Books must have been mentored between September 1, 2016 and April 30, 2017, to be eligible for the contest.  See Mrs. Stratton for details. Seniors eligible for the Charlie Classics Scholarship must deliver their 100 yellow receipts and a completed reading log to Mrs. R. Stratton, Room 513, by 8:00 a.m. Monday, May 1.  Reading receipts must be dated on or before April 30, 2017.

  2. Golf (V) Conference at Sikeston 9:00 a.m.

  3. Baseball (V/JV) here with Jackson at 4:30 p.m.

  4. Boys Tennis (V/JV) here with Farmington at 4:00pm

TUESDAY, APRIL 25

  1. Baseball (V/JV) here with New Madrid County Central HS at 4:30 p.m.

  2. Girls Soccer (JV/V) here with Cape Central High School at 5:00p.m.

  3. Track (JV) at Farmington JV Invitational 4:00 p.m.

WEDNESDAY, APRIL 26

  1. Jostens in the cafeteria from 11:00 -1:15 to deliver caps and gowns

  2. Track (V/JV) at Notre Dame in Cape 3:30 p.m.

  3. Golf at Cape Central 3:30 p.m.

  4. Stand for the Silent meeting in room #305 at 7:15 a.m.   All students are welcome. This week will be elections for next year's officers. If anyone is interested in running, you need to let Mrs. Sisk or Mrs. Moses know.

THURSDAY, APRIL 27

  1. EOC Algebra II testing

  3. Boys Tennis (V) at Farmington Invitational 9:00 a.m.

  4. Track (V) here for Poplar Bluff Invitational at 3:30 p.m.

SATURDAY, APRIL 29

  1. Baseball (V) SEMO Conference Tournament at Cape Girardeau TBA (4/28/17-5/1/17)

  2. Trap at Paul Larson Memorial Shoot, MTA Home Grounds, Linn Creek, MO (Bus will leave from Steak-n-Shake at 8:00 a.m. on April 28th)
